Q1: What’s New For 2019?
A: 2019 is Trentham’s 15th birthday, and the 10th summer we’ve held our incredibly popular, family-friendly concerts. This year, we’re hosting 15 concerts, every Saturday night from the 8th June to 14th September. We have a brand new, wide stage which will give our audience a better view than ever before. Tickets will be available online only for the first days of sales, with remaining tickets available from 3pm on Friday 5th April onwards, during open hours from the entrance to the gardens. You spoke, we listened, after the success of last year’s 80s and 90s nights we’ve decided to add extra dates for each this year to ensure everybody gets the chance to dance their way through the decades. With the additional capacity thanks to our brand-new stage this means we have tripled the amount of tickets based on previous years. Better buy those leg warmers now!
2019 will also see the first time we put on the following shows; Absolute Noughties (20th July), Club Classics (3 August), A Tribute to Elton John (10 August), Soul Legends (17 August) and A Tribute to George Michael (7 September).
For visitor comfort and safety we’ve introduced a few changes.
These are family focussed, picnic events and you’re welcome to bring a moderate amount of alcohol which we’ve defined as a maximum of 4 cans of beer or cider OR 75cl wine OR 75cl / 4 cans of combined spirit and mixer per person. A Challenge 25 bar will be available at the amphitheatre should you require anything further, please bring proof of age if you’re lucky enough to look under 25! Please do not bring any excess alcohol to site you will be asked to dispose of it before entering or will be refused admission.
Glass bottles and containers will not be allowed into the concert area this year. Please decant your drinks before you arrive on site. Security will ask you to decant and recycle glass bottles before admitting you.
Sharp knives will not be permitted, we accept butter knives and plastic/wooden ones, but please do not include sharp items in your picnic baskets, we suggest that you cut your picnic items in advance.
We ask all our visitors to comply with the above, and to arrive properly prepared for bag checks to help minimise delays at the entrance.

Q2: Should I book in advance?
A: Yes, we have a limited capacity for each event, and once this is met, no more tickets will be sold. If all tickets are sold out before the event, on the day tickets will not be available. Any available advanced tickets are on sale until 6pm on the Friday before the performance. Plus - advanced tickets are cheaper!
Q3: Will I be able to book tickets on the day?
A: Unless tickets have sold out before the day of the event, then yes, you can purchase tickets on the day in person at the entrance until capacity for the event is met. On the day tickets are NOT available to buy online, sorry. However, last year the majority of concerts sold out before the event, so we would recommend booking tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
Q4: Where and when can I buy tickets?
A: Advanced tickets are available online ONLY from 1pm Monday 1st April (check out our live music page for staggered release date info) and at the Gardens Entrance during open hours from Friday 5th April at 3pm. You can purchase advance tickets online until 6pm the Friday prior to the event in question, or during open hours at the Gardens Entrance (if tickets are still available). On the day ticket prices are valid all day on the day of the event and grant access to the gardens from 4.30pm (unless tickets are sold out prior to the day of the event). On the day tickets are NOT available to buy online, sorry.
Q5: Can I buy tickets over the phone?
A: Based on your feedback, we no longer accept telephone bookings. For the second year we’ll be staggering the release dates and providing multiple opportunities to attend our most popular events. This year there are 3 times the amount of tickets available for our 80s and 90s tribute concerts compared to last year. We hope that this will reduce the demand on our resources and create a better booking experience for our customers. For details on ticket release dates, please visit our live music page.
Q6: How can I book a gazebo space?
A: We offer 16 gazebo pitches for each event - these must be booked in advance online. Gazebo spaces are not available to purchase over the phone or at the Gardens Entrance, sorry. These pitches are 3m x 3m in size and allow you to bring your own gazebo to erect in that space - gazebos and/or furniture is not provided. Your gazebo space will be marked with the bookers name. We do not allow gazebos, tents or wind breakers in any other areas outside of these allocated areas. Booking a gazebo space doesn't guarantee ticket availability. We advise you book tickets at the same time as booking a gazebo space. Please choose your gazebo space first, then go on to add tickets.
Q7: Can we have our tickets sent out in the post?
A: Yes, there will be an additional charge for recorded delivery to have your tickets sent out - this is £3. Otherwise you can collect them from the Gardens Entrance before the day of the event. If you opt for your tickets to be posted, they will be sent to the address provided at time of booking 2 weeks prior to the event.
Q8: What does 'Capacity Full' mean and if the event I want to go to has sold out - can I be put on a reserves list?
A:Capacity Full means currently all the tickets have been allocated. This is different to sold out at tickets may be come available again due to tickets in baskets not going through the purchasing stage.
Once an event has sold out, there will be no additional tickets sold. We advise that you post on Trentham's Facebook for the event you are interested in. If you purchase tickets from another customer on Facebook, Trentham cannot be held responsible for this transaction. If you have purchased Annual Ticket Holder discounted tickets, but are not an Annual Ticket Holder you will be asked to pay the £3 difference in ticket prices on arrival at the event.
Q9: I am an Annual Ticket Holder to Trentham Gardens, can I purchase my event tickets online?
A: Yes, Annual ticket holders can book their event tickets in advance, online. Annual ticket holders must enter a valid membership number, which can be found under the bar code on the back of the Annual ticket, and can buy one ticket per card holder, per event. Annual tickets must be valid for the purchase of discounted event tickets. See Question 14 for passes that expire before the event date
Q10: Where can I find my membership number on my Annual Ticket?
A: You will find your membership number on your membership card. Your number will either begin with TRE followed by six digits or will be a five digit code which can be found below the bar code.
Q11: I have booked tickets online and received a confirmation from WorldPay, but haven't received a confirmation email from Trentham, are my tickets booked?
A: Please allow 24 hours for your Trentham confirmation email to reach your inbox. Some emails may be flagged as spam by your email provider, so please be sure to check your junk box. Occasionally some transactions can time out before Trentham's confirmation email is sent - in most cases your tickets have been allocated, and we just need to re-send your Trentham confirmation email. Please email your name and event to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will check and confirm as soon as possible. Thank you.
Q12: Can I print my tickets off at home?
A: No - tickets are available to be posted to you (£3.00 delivery charge), or you can collect from the garden entrance before the day of the event. If you opt for your tickets to be posted, they will be sent to the address provided at time of booking 2 weeks prior to the event.
ANNUAL TICKET HOLDERS
Q13: Do Annual Ticket Holders get a discount?
A: Yes, holders of a valid Annual Ticket get the published discounted rates. This discount does not apply to guests accompanying an Annual Ticket Holder. The Annual Ticket must be valid on the day of performance to be eligible for discount. Please have your annual ticket ready to present to staff when collecting tickets and upon entrance to the event. Those who cannot produce a valid membership card on entry will need to upgrade their ticket and pay £3 before entry to the event is granted.
Q14: I'm an Annual Ticket Holder but have purchased non-annual ticket holder tickets by mistake, can I have the difference refunded?
A: If you inform Trentham via email (email@example.com) within 7 days of purchasing, we can try to rectify any problems, however after 7 days we are unable to change any bookings.
Q15: I'm an Annual Ticket Holder, but my pass is due to expire before the date of the concert - do I still get the discount?
A: Yes, however we will keep your event tickets until you renew. Once you have renewed your annual ticket you will be able to collect your event tickets. If you do not renew, you will need to upgrade your discounted tickets and pay the additional £3.
Q16: I’m an Annual Ticket Holder, can I set up on the amphitheatre prior to gates opening before 4.30pm?
A: The amphitheatre will be cleared of all visitors at 4pm ahead of the gates opening each week at 4.30pm. Anybody who has set up on the amphitheatre before this time will be asked to return to the gardens entrance along with their belongings so that safety checks can be made prior to the gates opening.
Please be aware that bag checks will be made by trained security guards BEFORE you enter the event. No bottles, naked flames, excessive alcohol or sharp knives will be permitted.
Please do not arrive before 4.30pm
Q17: I've lost my tickets - can I still come to the event?
A: Tickets WILL NOT be re-issued to replace tickets that have been lost or stolen - once tickets are issued they are the customer's responsibility. As such, tickets that have been lost or stolen will NOT be refunded.
Q18: Do I have to pay the garden admission charge on top of the event ticket price?
A: Admission to the events is from 4.30pm. If you wish to visit the gardens during the day you need to purchase a day ticket. For entry to the amphitheatre after 4.30pm, you will need to exchange your event ticket for a wristband which will be available from the garden entrance from 4.30pm and go through the bag check area. No event attendees will be permitted to set up on the amphitheatre before 4.30pm – the arena will be cleared at 4pm ready for pre-event checks before the gates open.
Q19: Can I bring the dog?
A: Sorry - for the dogs and other visitors' safety, dogs are not allowed to the events. With the exception of assistance dogs.
Q20: Can I bring a BBQ?
A: Unfortunately, we do not allow BBQ's at the events as no naked flames are permitted on site. There is BBQ food available to purchase and you are most welcome to bring a picnic. Please note that we do not permit glass bottles or containers or sharp objects including corkscrews or knives.
Q21: Is there disabled access to the concerts?
A: Yes, the route from the car park to the Amphitheatre is wheelchair friendly, and there are accessible areas on the Amphitheatre for wheelchairs. Assistance dogs are welcome.
Q22: Do I need an adult to accompany me to the event?
A: If you are 16 or over you do not need an adult to accompany you to our events. All children aged 15 and under must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. You will need to purchase an adult ticket as child tickets are only valid for persons aged 3 - 15 years. Challenge 25 will be in operation at all of our concerts and so anybody who appears to be under the age of 25 will be asked for ID when bringing alcohol onto site or purchasing from the bar. If you’re luck enough to look under 25, please bring along proof of age ID, thank you.
LOCATION & LEAVING SITE
Q23: Where do the concerts take place?
A: The events are on the grassed Amphitheatre which is the area between the lake and the Italian Garden Tearooms.
Q24: Are the events outdoors?
A: Yes all of the events are outdoors. The seating area is the grassed banks of the Amphitheatre. It is not a covered area. It's open to the elements so bring suitable clothing and something to sit on.
Q25: Will food and alcohol be sold at the events?
A: There will be a bar and catering available at the amphitheatre, or if you prefer you can bring a picnic along with you – please note that we do not permit glass bottles or containers or sharp objects including knives and corkscrews. Challenge 25 will be in operation so if you're lucky enough to look under age 25, please ensure you bring proof of age ID with you.
When leaving the site, please consider our neighbours, leave quietly and have a safe onward journey home.
Q26: Can I leave my car at Trentham overnight following the concert?
A. Yes, you are welcome to leave your cars on our carpark overnight, however please be aware that all cars are left at the owner's risk and Trentham cannot be held responsible if any loss or damage should occur. We ask that all cars are collected by 10am the following day.
Q27: Where is the taxi pick up point?
A: All taxis will be directed to the taxi pick up point. As you exit via the gardens entrance, turn right and then left taking the path that leads you towards Joe’s Kitchen. The pick up area is in that location of the carpark.
Q28: What if I book my tickets but then can't make the event?
A: Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable once purchased with the exception of tickets booked online. Tickets purchased online are eligible for refund within 7 days of purchase - please contact firstname.lastname@example.org quoting your booking reference number and we will try to rectify any problems within this period.
Q29: What if it rains on the day of the event?
A: If it is bad weather on the day of the event, but the performance carries on as scheduled, there will be no refunds. Rain ponchos are available to buy from our Gardens Entrance.
If storms are forecast, please be advised that the decision to cancel will not be made until approx 6pm, and will be announced on social media/website.
In the unlikely event that a performance is cancelled refunds will be given, however they will not be given on the date of the event.
Q30: I've booked my tickets, but I made a mistake - can I change them?
A: If you bring your tickets back to Trentham within 7 days of purchasing, we can try to rectify any problems, however after 7 days we are unable to change any bookings. Please email email@example.com with full details on the tickets you would like refunding and we will get back to you.
