Fishing at Trentham

Updated 27.07.2020

We have been closely reviewing updates from the Government, and can confirm that we are now able to give our valued Fishing Members access to the lake, to fish daily. Due to updated Government guidelines, overnight fishing is now permitted for a maximum of 6 consecutive nights from Monday 27th July. We will review the 6-night limit in due course and inform all fishing members of any changes to the policy.

If you wish to access the lake, please telephone Duty Security on 07966 247393 and they will give you the new access codes to the Walkers Bridge Gate and South Entrance and will prepare to open any necessary car park barriers. There will be hand sanitiser by the lock, please use this before and after entering the code and if possible, bring your own. Toilets and cafes remain closed. Once you’re set up, please call Duty Security again to notify them which peg you’re fishing from, and call them again when you leave. Please remain in the general area of your peg.

Unfortunately, access is for Fishing Members only, at this time so we would ask you not to bring any family or friends with you, even if they are annual members of Trentham. You must maintain a social distance of at least 2m – that’s 6ft – from our staff, and other anglers. As gatherings are still not permitted, we ask that you please do not arrange to meet more than one person outside your household, whilst on site. As always, please respect the environment and take any litter home with you, leaving the area surrounding the peg clear for others. Failure to comply with any of these restrictions will result in immediate cancellation of membership.

We wish you tight lines, in these difficult times.
