Around the Lakeside at Trentham
Fairies at Trentham
Everyone knows that Fairies live at the bottom of gardens and Trentham Gardens is no different. Keep your eyes peeled as your walk around our beautiful mile-long lake, and through the woodland, maze and gardens where the Fairies at Trentham live.
A visit to Trentham wouldn’t be complete without a trip on the Miss Elizabeth, Trentham’s electrically powered boat, or take a trip on the Trentham Fern, our resident miniature train which chuffs along the lakeside on a light gauge railway.
Trentham’s latest restoration project, developed with Chelsea Flower Show gold medallist and Royal Horticultural Society Ambassador, Nigel Dunnett, is creating the UK’s most innovative new woodland garden in Burke’s Wood, and extensive new lakeside perennial meadow gardens.
Follow the lakeside walk all the way around the ‘Capability’ Brown mile-long Trentham Lake and spot our wood carvings along the way.
There’s a lot of wildlife that calls Trentham Gardens home. Some animals are very friendly and love to meet our visitors. Others, like the Otter, Kingfisher and Stag Beetle, are a little harder to find!
