Visitor Update - 12.06.20
You can find an update on our reopening below. Last updated 12.06.20.
Since 29 May, we have been gently reopening Trentham Gardens and welcoming back thousands of members who’ve been pre-booking their visits online.
From 10 June, we have extended expiry dates of members whose cards expired during lockdown and they can now pre-book visits here too.
If you are a member, wishing to book a visit, please follow these steps.
For members who do not have a registered email or internet access, please contact us with your telephone number, and we’ll arrange a call-back to book your visits in. You need to allow at least 3 working days for a call back, currently. Please read our phased reopening FAQs.
It's great to see that Trentham Garden Centre and Cadwaladers have already reopened within Government guidelines and there will be a phased reopening of shops and cafes over the coming weeks and months.
There are several safety measures we have put in place but this is a new normal for us all and we appreciate your patience and kindness whilst we are adapting to new ways of working and visiting.
We have restricted capacity to help support social distancing and provide an environment to allow you to visit safely, and to safeguard our staff. There is a numbered queuing system on arrival to support social distancing. Our welcome team will be focused on ensuring social distance is maintained and the smooth operation of contactless admissions only. Please read our updated terms and conditions of entry.
Facilities will be restricted in the initial phase of reopening and the south entrance will remain closed. Hours of opening will be 9am – 6pm with last admission at 5pm. Car parking spaces will be restricted. The play area, the maze, the show gardens, bird hides, the barefoot walk, boat, train and the viewing platform are closed. A one-way system is operational, please check the new map before visiting. A separate exit route over the white bridge (by the Garden Centre) has been introduced.
The toilet facilities at the Garden Entrance, Tearoom and Lakeside Café are open. Only one household group will be admitted at any one time. There is a socially distanced queuing system in place, each facility will be attended and cleaned constantly during our opening hours. Please wash your hands regularly.
In step one of the re-opening, we must remind people not to come to site if they have any symptoms. Please do not gather or meet any more than five other people, not from your household. Please do keep all dogs on a short lead.
Opposite the main garden entrance, Cadwaladers are offering take away drinks and snacks. Within the garden attraction, Totally Delicious are operating the Tearoom Kiosk and Lakeside Café selling hot and cold drinks, Snugburys scoop ice cream, snacks and cakes. Card payments only. We have spaced outdoor tables and chairs for your use, but please ensure you use hand sanitiser if using these, or handrails and armrests on benches. You are welcome to bring your own chair, food and drink to eat here, please help us by taking your litter home with you.
Thank you for your patience whilst we continue to implement new methods of working, reintroduce our staff and gently reopen the gardens in a manageable way during difficult times. Please do register your contact details to receive updates from us.
For now, please stay safe and be assured that we can’t wait to welcome you back.
We apologise that there is a delayed response to enquiries (currently 2-3 working days) as we are a small team handling a large volume of enquiries.
