February Half Term at Trentham Gardens

This February we are asking you to #ShowtheLove for everything we want to protect from the climate crisis. With that in mind, this February Half Term (15-23 February) at Trentham Gardens you can discover more about the conservation work that is already taking place and what is planned for the future, as well as learning how you can do your bit to help the planet.

The Climate Coalition’s #ShowtheLove campaign aims to start a conversation about climate change and our impact on the planet. You can find out more about the campaign on the Climate Coalition’s website.

1. #ShowtheLove  

What is it? 

Pick up a leaflet from the Visitor Centre and take a walk around the Gardens and Estate, discover more about our conservation work and learn about how you can do your bit. Get involved and #ShowTheLove for our planet.

When is it on? 

Everyday during February Half Term and running until the end of February .

How much is it? 

This activity is included in the garden admission. 

2. DIY Wildflower Mixes

What is it? 

Create your own wildflower seed mixes to sow at home and create your own meadows ready for the summer - perfect for pollinators. Running every day throughout February half term.

When is it on? 

Every day during Half Term (15-23 February). 

How much is it? 

£2 per mix, in addition to garden admission. 

3. Make Your Own Hedgehog 

What is it? 

Get creative and make your own hedgehog to take home, learn about what you can do to look after hedgehogs in your own garden ready for spring!

When is it on? 

This activity will take place every day during Half Term 15-23 February. 

How much is it? 

£2 per hedgehog, in addition to garden admission. 

4. Bird Nest Hearts 

What is it? 

Fill heart shaped wreaths with natural materials and hang them in your garden to provide great nesting materials for your local birds this spring.

When is it on? 

This activity will take place every day during Half Term 15-23 February.  

How much is it? 

£2 per person, in addition to garden admission. 

5. Children's Mini Walk

What is it? 

Get your wellies ready and come along for a meet and greet with the Estates wildlife! We'll introduce you to the birds of the lake and sheep of the estate, which you'll even get a chance to feed!

When is it on? 

Sunday 23 February at 10am. 

How much is it? 

£5 per child (with one free supervising adult per child) in addition to garden admission. 

6. Gardening Walk & Talk 

What is it? 

Take a tour with our Gardens Team for an introduction to gardening for the New Year. Pick up hints and tips and take this opportunity to learn something new!

When is it on? 

Monday 17 February, tour starts at 11am. Places are limited to 30 on a first-come, first served basis from 10.30am.

How much is it? 

Included in garden admission.
