Woodland and Lakeside November Update
We are waking up to more foggy and frosty November mornings with stunning views. The annual meadows still have some colour and the flowers look magical when the frost hits them!
Colour around the lake
Although it is feeling cold out there with dark mornings and evenings the woodland and lakeside is still providing pops of colour with plenty of berries.
Some of the most interesting berries are those of the Arbutus unedo (near the old lido steps and down zig zag), also known as the ‘Strawberry tree’. A fantastic display of colour in the autumn with its white bell-shaped flowers.
The bulbs are in! All 70,000-75,000 are in their new homes and chalkboards have been placed to give you a few tasters of what is to come in the spring! We hope the public will come back to take photos of them.
Just before closing the sun is starting to go down and is spoiling us with the views across the lake!
