The Woodlands and Lake have dominated The Trentham Estate for over 200 years. 

Enjoy the tranquillity of acres of free parkland and woodland to a more strenuous climb up to the monument at the south end of the estate.

The parts of the woodland which are free to enter are The Kings Wood, The Monument and The Park Walk.

Please Note: The lakeside walk is now enclosed within the Gardens, Lake & Adventure Play area. For more information please click here.

All the walks are clearly signposted and we highlight the areas that may be of particular interest to you, to ensure you don’t miss a thing.

Please note:

Trentham Leisure Ltd encourages the use of the Lakeside and Woodland Walks, but guests are reminded that this is a private Estate and we reserve the right to refuse admission or to remove from the Estate any person whose behaviour is inappropriate.

We ask all visitors to help maintain the environment and ecology. To respect our wildlife, dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the Woodland and Lakeside Walks. Please use the dog bins provided.

The free walks open at 8.00am and close at 8.00pm in the summer and 6.00pm in the winter.

Cycling is not permitted on any part of the Estate.

Trentham Fishing Season Tickets

As the new season starts we are introducing a new price structure to make fishing more accessible to the angler. The price of adult, child, senior citizen and disabled permits have been lowered.

Also, along with the price changes we are introducing a combined ticket which will benefit the angler and their family. One adult and one child paying full price will entitle the whole family (2 adults & up to 3 children) access in to the Gardens, Lake & Adventure Play for the duration of the fishing permit (all permits run from the 1^st of the month they were purchased and run for 12 months)

This will enable the angler and their family to come to the Trentham Estate and enjoy a relaxing day.

Fish Stocks:

Very good stock of mirror, common and ghost carp up to 31lb

Pike up to 22lb

Perch up to 3.6lb

Bream up to 8-9lb

Roach and Rudd.

Work is ongoing on the lake to re-open some old overgrown pegs and installing new pegs into the lake closest to the Gardens, which will make much more of the lake accessible.

Last season saw some exceptional fishing by some anglers with good catches of all species taken throughout the year from all around the lake.
