Our ever-popular Trentham Easter Hunt is back this weekend, with the ultimate aim of finding out the name of our Easter bunny. It takes you on a journey of discovery around the gardens and lake following clues along the way. The route is just over two miles long and visitors will get to meet our fairies, chicks, hens and even a robin along the way. The last clue reveals the name of our Easter bunny for children to tell the staff at the Italian Garden Tearoom and claim a well-earned chocolate treat.
We are also hosting our popular wilderness survival skills, a fun way to get active in the great outdoors as you learn the skills you need to survive in the wild. Or join the RSPB on 21 April making natural picture frames and pendants from materials you find on the ground.
Trentham Gardens is also home to 15 enchanting fairies, which live around our beautiful mile long lake, in the woodlands and in the gardens. Each fairy has a different personality, some are bold, others cheeky daring and shy. The fairies will even pose for photographs; however they may try and upstage you! Our new fairy ' Wishes' has flown in to help us celebrate our 10th Birthday, can you spot her?
If the kids are looking for adventure, head to the adventure playground where they can tackle the assault course, zoom down the zip wire, test their driving skills and fly high on the swings. They can then navigate the hide and speak Hornbeam maze. Get lost? Use the special talking pipes and receive help from others in the maze. If that isn't enough adventure we also have the hide and speak Hornbeam hedge maze to navigate.
For those looking for a more relaxing Easter break, take a stroll around the Italian Gardens, or the lakeside walk. Our boat, the Miss Elizabeth, is now back in the water and ready and waiting to transport passengers across Trentham Lake taking in views of the woodland. If you prefer you can let the train take the strain as our miniature passenger train, the Trentham Fern, as it chuffs merrily along the lakeside. We have horse-drawn carriage and pony rides over Easter too, helping you explore the gardens the old fashioned way.
Remember Trentham Gardens is a photographers dream so bring your camera and remember to upload it to Instagram with the #trenthamgardens.
