A fun filled adventure awaits you at The Trentham Estate this Half Term
Enjoy a great day out this school holidays with Wilderness Survival Skills, animal workshops, FREE train trips, fairies to spot, tree-top adventure and monkey antics.

At Trentham Gardens, join the RSPB and spot the Herons that call Trentham their home. The estate boats one of the biggest heronries in the country nesting on an island in the lake (25-26 February). Staffordshire Wildlife Trust are also getting in touch with nature and will be teaching you how to look after your local wildlife, how to make natural bird feeders and taking you on a wildlife trail through the gardens.
You will be able to find some Diving Otters, Stag Beetles and Kingfisher, by taking the Winter Trail which will take you around the lake and parkland finding wood carvings and willow decorations as you go. That’s not the only thing hiding at Trentham as 15 Fairies that call the Estate their home. Titania points the way to all her fairy friends from the Shopping Village, can you spot them all? Both trails will be running throughout February Half Term along with the Trentham Fern*, the Estate’s miniature train, which will be taking passengers up and down the lake for FREE. Stop off at the south end of the lake and take the short walk to the lakeside cafe to warm up with a hot chocolate or two! SORRY - the train won’t be running today - Sunday 26th February - due to technical difficulties.
Are the kids still looking for an adventure? Head to the playground where they can tackle the assault course, zoom down the zip wire and fly high on the swings. Tackle the Altitude Tower by conquering the climbing wall and enjoying an exhilarating slide back down to earth. A brand new toddler zone has also been added in time for February Half Term with a natural and nautical themed adventure area.
Don’t forget to pay a visit the Italian Garden Tearooms with its fantastic views of the Estate or if you’re looking for something different then take a trip to one of the 17 cafes in the Shopping Village. It gives you the perfect opportunity to watch the world go by or decide which of the 60 shops you’re going to head to first.

Do you fancy a bit of monkeying around? Trentham Monkey Forest reopens for the February half term. Transport yourself into a world of monkey magic as you wind along the ¾ of a mile path spotting the Barbary macaques roaming free through their 60 acre forest home. See the monkeys live as they would in their native Algeria and Morocco and learn all about their relationships and behaviours. Make sure you catch one of the hourly feeding talks so you can see some real monkey antics.
Have your own treetop adventure at Aerial Extreme which is offering 25% off all tickets this February Half Term. Situated at the south entrance of the Trentham Estate you will go on a spectacular journey through the woodland as you swing high up into the trees. Aerial Extreme has courses that cater for enthusiastic novices or an adrenaline junkies. Come and give it a go, it really is tree-mendous.
