Trentham Shopping Village

Browse our 77 timber lodges housing amazing Shops, Cafés and Restaurants and a lovely friendly village atmosphere, you will find something special at Trentham Shopping Village. There’s plenty of things going on in the shopping village, including fantastic promotions, discounts on food and even a chance to paint your own pottery!

Trentham Monkey Forest

At Trentham Monkey Forest you can take a walk on the wild side and get up close with 140 Barbary macaques. Guides along the path will give you information on the monkeys and what they are getting up to. Don’t miss the hourly feeding talks to see some more monkey antics and see if you can spot the baby monkeys!

Trentham Treetop Adventure

Open for the summer holidays, Trentham Treetop Adventure promises knee-wobbling excitement on its high ropes course at Trentham’s South Entrance. With over 30 exciting treetop obstacles to tackle, the outdoors has never been so much fun!

On-going Summer Activities

Time4Sport - Every Friday

We’ve partnered with the guys at Time4Sport to bring you action packed adventure this summer. These sessions are the perfect way for your children to enjoy the outdoors, have fun, stay fit, be safe, make new friends and learn during the school holidays. The sessions will run every Friday in the holidays, from the 27 July, and costs £20 per child, per day. More information can be found on the Time4Sport page.

WildFamilies with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust

Every Thursday during the summer holidays join Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and enjoy bug hunting, bird food making, trails, scavenger hunts, natural crafts and more at Trentham Gardens. Aimed at engaging you and your children in nature through a range of wondrous activities, these drop-in sessions run from 10am-4pm and are included in garden admission.

Outdoor Yoga

We’re pleased to announce that Trentham’s Yoga sessions will now be happening on Friday Evenings, from 20 July, 6-7pm. Build strength, stamina and flexibility whilst cultivating a sense of calm in the mind surrounded by the beauty of Trentham Gardens. Can’t make this session? We also host sessions on Wednesdays (11am-12noon).

Trentham has also recently launched Parent and Baby Yoga too. This active and fun bonding experience for new parents and their little ones. Suitable for parents with babies and toddlers. These sessions are included in garden admission and run every Thursday from 10-11am.

Week Four (11-17 August)

Discover the wildlife of Trentham Gardens at this special two-day event (11-12 August) with the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. Learn more about how you can make a difference to wildlife in nature to give it a helping hand. You’ll get the chance to explore the different habitats at Trentham and see what you can find in the meadow, lake and woodland through a range of exciting activities taking place during the weekend.

On Sunday 12 August, we are thrilled to welcome the All Woman Choir into the gardens. All Woman has become the largest independent female choir in the country. Pull up a deckchair at the amphitheatre and take in the beautiful sounds.

Week Five (18-24 August)

Peak Pursuits will be back at the South Entrance from the 18-20 August to help you collect and purify water, create a shelter and make a fire with Bushcraft Workshops.

At Trentham Monkey Forest on the 19 August the zoo comes to you with their Zoo2U event. Meet a range of animals from around the world and learn all about them.

Week Six (25-31 August)

The creepy crawlies of the Mini Beasts will be back from the 25-27 August, helping you to answer the questions Who can taste with their feet? Who gets more legs as they get older Who has a foot but no legs?
