David Austin Rose Border
The David Austin Rose Border runs along the length of The Trellis Walk and contains a wonderful mix of shrub roses that have been carefully selected to combine beautiful flowers and strong fragrances with maximum health and reliability, nearly all repeat flower. The majority of varieties are David Austin’s English Roses along with some Old Roses and Hybrid Musks. The perennials and annuals add to the beauty of the whole border as well as helping to keep the roses as healthy as possible.

The garden staff at Trentham, are keen to encourage and practice organic gardening. They have created several ladybird houses within the rose border. They encourage ladybirds to shelter in a dry warm environment and be in the mood to make more ladybirds, which in turn will feast on the unlucky aphids settling on the surrounding rose bushes!
