Hot Summer Saturday Date

Take That... enjoy a Hot Summer Date at Trentham.

It Could Be Magic this summer as one of Britain’s top gardens offers visitors a Hot Summer Saturday Date with live music and outdoor movie screenings.

This July and August Trentham Estate in Staffordshire will be Ruling the World with Take That and making sure The Show Must Go On with Queen - thanks to its 2012 summer season of tribute band concerts.

While the nation will be celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee this summer, Britain’s very own rock royalty will be among the music giants being given the tribute treatment in a superb lakeside setting at The Trentham Estate.

From Queen tribute Mercury to The Greatest Take That Tribute and Abba Reunion to The Counterfeit Beatles, plus Big Screen movie screenings, it will be hard to resist making a date at Trentham this summer - with all-day access to the gardens, lake-side walks and adventure play included.

Trentham Gardens, praised as one of the “UK’s must-see gardens” by Alan Titchmarsh, sits at the centre of a 725 acre Estate boasting village shopping, Garden Centre, the remarkable Monkey Forest and high rope adventure course Aerial Extreme.

The Hot Summer Saturday Dates at the Garden’s lakeside amphitheatre offer a chance for visitors to dance their way through the decades with an outdoor film or tribute band concert in a magnificent setting.

Every Saturday evening from 7 July until the end of August the sweeping grassed banks of the lakeside at Trentham will host a summer spectacle with something to suit all tastes.

In Diamond Jubilee year, Queen tribute Mercury, will launch the sizzling summer season, but there’s plenty more music and movie fun lined up. It’s Back to the 80s on 14 July with a musical tribute to that decade while there is bound to be more than one Dancing Queen on 21 July with band Abba Reunion.

July ends with some Dirty Dancing (28 July) with a screening of the smash hit movie and if that doesn’t quite hit the right note, how about hearing it Through the Grapevine with Motown Vogue on Saturday 4 August?

The temperature rises again on 1 August when the lakeside theatre hosts blockbuster music movie Saturday Night Fever and a week later All You Need is Love when The Counterfeit Beatles take to the stage.

Bringing the Hot Summer Saturday Date nights to a rousing end, The Greatest Take That Tribute band will Shine as they close the season of special summer performances.

All film and concert tickets allow access to the Gardens, Lake and Adventure Play all day while the Italian Garden Tearoom will open until late - although visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic for the ultimate British summer day out. You can also bring your own gazebo by pre-booking a pitch, but spaces are limited and pre-booking is essential.

Advance tickets cost £12 adult, £10 concessions/children and on the day prices are £15 adults, £13 concessions/children. Bring 12 or more friends and get discounted tickets and Annual Ticket Holders also benefit from a 50% discount on advance tickets.
